College of Applied Science Malappuram is an avant garde attempt in the arena of Electronics and Computer education in Malabar, initiated by the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD), an autonomous, scientific society established by the Govt. of Kerala. The college was established in the year 1993 and has become instrumental in new fangled waves by offering quality education with unrelenting precision and alacrity. The college in nearly 3 kms from Malappuram town it is very easily accessible to other towns in malappuram district such as Manjeri, Tirur, Parappanangadi, Perinthalmanna, Kondotty etc.

The College facilitates regular BSc Computer Science (3 years) courses affiliated to University of Calicut , in semester system. It also provides one-year IHRD courses such as Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) and Diploma in Data entry Techniques and PC Maintenance (DDT and PCM). Multifarious short term training programmes in the area of Electronics and Computer Science too are offered.
